Diary of a pulchritudinous brat

Because it was true love

Filed under: Personal — by kurri @ 4:19 am

When I was a kid, I would see my brother and his best friend together all the time. They would do every thing together, and my friends and I would joke about how they would get married one day and have obnoxious babies. Yes his best friend was a girl. No he’s not gay.

After being friends for 17 years, they started to date. They went out for like six months but that didn’t work out for them. They would argue all the time. My mom loves this chick so she would always force him to apologize. Anyway, after they broke up, they would still meet up and talk like friends. Bhai became a complete jerk after that. He slept with countless girls. We used to call him a playboy, because every week he’d have a new girl friend. Absolutely insane!

However, a couple of months ago, bhai found out that his best friend is getting engaged to this other dude. Believe it or not, Bhai proposed. She said yes!

He did the whole sit-on-one-knee thing. Her ring is just the cutest! It has three big diamonds, and then the rest of the round-running-strap-thing has small diamonds on it. Adorable!

… and now I believe in my happy endings. If all my brothers can marry their first love, so can I. Question is, have I been in love? Sigh. My brothers already knew who they were going to marry when they were my age, sigh. (Except the youngest I guess. He was too busy sleeping around.)

Loved the Oscars! I’m sooooooo happy for the people behind Slumdog Millionaire!

Best Dressed (Women)

5. Miley Cyrus

I think the dress is perfect for somebody her age.

4. Angelina Jolie

The emerald earrings go perfectly with the plain black dress. With Brad on her side, I don’t think she looks like she’s missing anything (minus her truckload of kids).

3. Taraji P. Henson

I’m not a huge fan of that bling on her neck, but everything else looks gorgeous! Henson couldn’t have looked better!

2. Anne Hathaway

Oh. My. God! I’d sell my kidneys to buy this dress, but I’m pretty sure that even my kidneys aren’t worth that much. Plus I’m not that skinny.. But seriously! Love. This. Dress!

1. Penelope Cruz

Her dress reminds me of my 10th birthday cake. On a more serious note, I think she looks fantastic! I know I would never be able to carry it (although I’ve been told that I look like Salma Hayek. The guy who spent 30 mins in the whirlpool with me told me that :) ).

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are just so cute!

I’m not going to post pictures of the best dressed men. I have an exam coming up and I really really REALLY have to study, lol. Buttttttttttttt! I will say that Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr, John Legend, and Dev Patel looked great. What happened to Mickey Rourke? Damn!

I know that you are torn between what was and what could be*

how many of you remember the BSB era? oh God i used to be crazy about them.. and then tons of other bands popped up and BSB was like a forgotten territory. the other day i was watching the Ellen show and she announced that she’ll have nick carter on her show! N.I.C.K. i used to love him! i used to have those little Nick doll things. i wonder where they are now, sigh. i think i need to visit our old house again.

anyway, i woke up at 7 this morning. since i obviously didn’t want to get out of my blanket, i reached under my bed and picked up my laptop. i youtubed backstreet boys and the first song that popped up was ’show me the meaning of being lonely.’ LOVE this song! it just has a different meaning for me now. back in the day, it was just a song. now i can relate to it.

now i’m sure that most of you are about to X out of this window because my blog has become so damn boring. it amazes me how many people used to be able to relate to my dysfunctional life. hey! what can i say.. i’m a happy person now. sexy got what he deserved; he’s now single (again!) and he has no friends. okay so maybe he didn’t deserve this, but i need to keep telling that to myself.

the oscars are this sunday. hugh jackman is SO hot! patrick dempsey is better but i guess i can settle for less for now.

Coming up: why i believe in happy endings now :)

I remember like yesterday the very day I met you

i don’t know if i should be apologizing for being MIA or thanking all of you for putting up with my nonsense. i’m sorry for not replying back to your emails. if i tell you that i’ve been awfully busy doing nothing, will you believe me? i was busy watching movies, talking on the phone, partying, and eating. i was busy appreciating life because seriously, life is too short…too unpredictable.

i spent valentines day with my girlfriends. we watched movies, bitched our moms, discussed diet plans, and danced. we danced until we were breathless, and then we sang. we played cranium and made fools out of ourselves. we recorded videos and took pictures because seriously, life is too short.

i’m myself around Y now. i told him that i want him to move here because i like him and i want things to work out. i told him that i felt special when he added me to his phone-plan’s 5-favs list.

a special child i tutored for six months passed away two weeks ago. two days before that, i played a game of uno with him.

so.. forgive me for being a complete bitch.

sigh.. and now i’m awfully tired so i’m going to bed.
